

In addition, Tharp said he pledges to take more aggressive action to address speeding issues and traffic crashes on Route 20 and all other roads in the community. “I would open all communication options, including going to the person’s residence and hearing their complaint face to face, and resolving (grievances) to the best of my ability,” he said. If elected, Tharp said he promises to respond to the concerns of township residents.

“I would like to give back to the community and be part of its future,” she said. Steele added that she has watched the township grow through the years and become a wonderful place to live. “I will address this issue by being conscientious and using common sense while continuing to provide Perry Township residents the highest levels of services,” she said. Steele said the biggest challenge of serving as a Perry Township trustee is trying to fulfill the needs of the community while staying within a budget. In addition, Steele said she strongly supports the efforts of the Perry Joint Economic Development District and Economic Development boards as they promote the growth of the community’s financial and commercial tax base.

“I believe recreation opportunities are very important for not only our children, but our adults and seniors as well,” she said.
